Arrest By Police

1 Introduction 
 2 relevent provision sec 46 to 53 crpc are provide the procedure of arrest of any person by police officer or any other person

i) person who can authorise arrest (a) police officer (b)other person (ii) actually toch the body or confine (exception) there is no need of toch or confine if arrestd person submitt the costody by words or action

or other person when risisting endeavour to arrest undr sec 46(2) grounds:- if person forcibly resist :- attempts to evade the arrest (powers) may use all means necessary to effect the arrest (exception) police have no right to cause the death of a person who is not accused of offence punishable with death or imprisonment for life

(i)grounds for search (a) person sought to be arrestd enterd into place or within any place then first of all police officer demand from owner of that place for enter in and that person must allow police oficr freely and provide all reasonable facilities
 7) procedure when ingress not obtainable urdr sec 48 when permission of entr not allowed then police oficr can break the inner or outer door or window of any house or place where person to be arrested (exception) if a place is occupancy of women and she does not appear in public place then befor entering give notice to women that she is liberty to withdaw from house or place and provide all facilties for withdrawing
8) power to break door or window for libertation if a police office detain in that place where he enterd for arrest lawfully may break open the inner or outer door or window of house or place for liberation in which he was detained 9) personally search of arrestd person
